Model Test Shoot - Stacie Snyder

Test shoot with DC-based model Stacie Snyder. Thank you to my friends Bryce Buell (http://brycebuell.com/) and Courtney Parrie (http://www.courtneyparrie.com/) for their help.

Broke out the ol' Alien Bees ring flash for this shoot. Most shots were done with a ring flash fill and a large softbox over the camera facing the subject as the main light.

We took a little shooting break. Stacie and Courtney decided to run around while I took a breather. Photo  by Bryce Buell.

Hey everyone! Sorry for the lack of photoshoot updates. I am happy to say I have been busy shooting, BUT a lot of the stuff I have been working on I cannot post right away due to contracts and such, but some great behind the scenes content is coming soon! In the meantime, enjoy the video of puppies chasing a small child:

The underwater 5 megapixel digital camera mask

Behold, the SeaLife SL321 ECOshot.

"The Only Digital Camera Swim Mask.
This is the worlds only swim mask that has an integrated waterproof digital camera, eliminating the need to carry an underwater camera, keeping your hands free as you swim. The 5 MP camera can operate to a depth of 15', making it ideal for use when snorkeling or in swimming pools. The masks eye pieces are made of tempered glass and have integrated crosshairs that allow you to line up shots easily; simply press the shutter button to take pictures or videos. An LED inside the mask tells you if you are in still picture or video mode. Downloading images is as easy as plugging in the mask to your PCs or Macs USB port (USB cable included)the included software allows you to edit your content. Its built-in 16 MB memory can store up to 30 high- resolution pictures (2560 x 1920) or up to 52 seconds of video. A microSD card slot allows you to expand memory for additional pictures or videos. Requires two AAA batteries. Ages 8 and up. "

This mask is only $99.95 from Hammacher Schlemmer. I dare you to say that five times fast.

The Flip - mobile video recorder

www.theflip.com

My friend and talented country singer Rockie Lynne was nice enough to give me a Flip Video Ultra Player on a recent trip to Nashville (thanks Rockie!). This cool little device (sells for about $150) takes an hour worth of video in the form of an mpeg4 avi file.

The model I was given has 2 gigs of memory, takes up to 60 minutes of video, has a 1.5" lcd screen (528x132 pixels), captures video at 640x480 at 30 frames per second, has a microphone and speaker for audio capture and playback, works on 2 AA batteries, and has a built-in pop-up USB plug (means no card readers or cables :) ). I plan on keeping this baby in my camera bag. It is so compact!

Here is some sample video I took while I was in-studio with the band 3 Doors Down recently:

One more clip. Here is my loyal companion, Winston Churchill, taking a nap next to my desk:

My photoshoot with Chuck Liddell

Did a shoot in California last week with the UFC fighter Chuck Liddell for one of my regular clients, Axis Shavers (http://www.axisshavers.com/). Chuck was a really nice guy and very easy to work with. I broke out the ol' ring flash as you can see in the image below.

Behind the scenes photos, thanks to Greg!
