Video Showcasing The Features Of The New Canon 1DX Camera Body

YouTube Direkt

Here is a video starring Canon’s product specialist Chuck Westfall. He goes through the features of Canon’s new flagship camera which essentially replaces the 1D and 1Ds bodies Spring of 2012 at a price of $6800. Sure that may be a lot, but it beats the original price of the 1Ds body it replaces of approximately $8k when it came out. The 1Dx has incredible ISO range and vastly¬†improved¬†video functions. “Featuring a Completely New 61-Point Autofocus, Fast Shooting up to 12 fps, 18-Megapixel Full-Frame CMOS Sensor, Full HD Video Recording and Much More” (dpreview).

I feel pretty confident that I am going to pick one of these babies up next year when it comes out. Pretty excited about this new body. My 5D Mk2 bodies are getting worn out for sure! For an additional $600 you can pick up the new WFT-E6A Wireless File Transmitter which has LAN support and has much better transfer speeds than its predecessor, and at 2/3 the price!
